Riket Bahrain (även kallat Bahrein) är ett av de länder som ligger i Mellanöstern. Det är ett av de minsta länderna i området och det utgörs av fem öar, av vilka den största är Bahrainön. Den ligger i Persiska viken.
Mamlakat al-Bahrayn (dess originalnamn på arabiska) betyder på svenska de två havens rike. Bahrain har mycket att erbjuda då landets antika civilisations rikedom kan spåras i många olika historiska skatter, som visas på olika museer. Vi rekommenderar ett besök på Muharraq-museet, som har många arkeologiska rester som berättar om landets historia.
Man kan dessutom ägna sig åt många olika aktiviteter såsom segling och alla typer av vattensporter och fiske på stränderna i området. Vi rekommenderar att du besöker öns huvudstad (Manama), som har de viktigaste turistattraktionerna: Nationalmuseet och Fredagsmoskén (1938). Det är även intressant att se Beit al´-Quran (Koranens hus), som har en viktig samling av Koranmanuskript och skulpturer i trä.
