Namur är en stad som ligger i Belgien. Det är en viktig stad, historiskt sett, framför allt militärhistoriskt.
Staden har ett citadell med rester av det som var grevarnas av Namurs borg. Det står öppet för turister.
Om du besöker staden måste du besöka Trésor du Prieuré d’Oignies, som är det bästa museet i staden. Det ligger i ett av klostrets rum och har gotiska reliker, religiösa föremål och intressanta föremål tillverkade av hantverkare på 1200-talet. Sedan måste man besöka Groesbeeck de Croix-museet, ett herremanshus som hyser en vacker samling av dekorativ konst. Ytterligare ett måste är besöket på Théâtre Royal som nyligen renoverats.
På kvällen brukar staden vara mycket aktiv. Det förekommer festivaler av olika typer under hela året, då kanske den som hålls i maj och pågår i fem dagar är den viktigaste. Då sprakar gatorna i regnbågens alla färger och man kan roa sig med olika typer av evenemang för hela familjen och speciella för ungdomarna.
