Cypern är en ö i Medelhavet söder om Turkiet som är en självständig republik, vars huvudstad är Nicosia.
De bästa badstränderna, med vit sand och kristallklart vatten, ligger i Larnaca-området, som har öns näst viktigaste hamn. Även stränderna vid Ammochostos är otroligt vackra och där är Agia Napa mycket berömt för sitt nattliv. Hotellen är bekväma överallt på ön.

Troodosbergen, täckta av pinje- och cederskog har små byzantinska kapell vid sina utlöpare.
