Colmar är en stad som ligger där floderna Munsters och Rhens dalgångar går samman, i östra Frankrike i departementet Haut-Rhin i Alsaceregionen.
Den gamla stadskärnan är mycket väl bevarad och där finns byggnader i tysk gotisk stil och tidig renässans. Bland kyrkorna vill vi framhålla kapitelkyrkan St. Martin från 1200-talet och Dominikanerkyrkan, där du kan beundra det berömda konstverket la Vierge au Buisson de Roses. Du kan besöka museet Unterlinden, Bartholdimuseet, Leksaksmuseet, Koifhus (den gamla tullen), Pfisterhuset och La Petite Venise (Lilla Venedig), en romantisk stadsdel med typiska Alsacehus med blommor och trånga, pittoreska kanaler, där man kan ta en tur med båt.
Colmar är en medeltida stad, Alsacevinernas huvudstad, och bara några få kilometer därifrån kan du göra Vinrutten. Golfälskarna har tillgång till bra banor att spela på. Eller om du vill åka skidor, ligger skidstationen La Bresse bara 6 kilometer därifrån.
