Den franska staden Lourdes ligger på slättlandet i Bigorre i den sydöstra delen av departementet Hautes Pyrénées i regionen Midi-Pyrénées.
Sedan många år tillbaka är det ett betydande katolskt religiöst vallfartscentrum, eftersom det var här som den unga flickan Bernadette Soubirous såg uppenbarelsen av jungfru Maria i grottan Masabielle. Staden är nu den näst viktigaste katolska vallfartsorten efter Rom.
