Nancy är administrativ huvudort i departementet Meurthe-et-Moselle, som ligger i Lorraineregionen i nordöstra Frankrike.
Till de viktigaste turistattraktionerna i staden hör katedralen, som började byggas år 1700, och hertigens palats, beställt av René II år 1502 och byggt i en blandning av stilar: renässansstil, gotisk stil och medeltidsstil. Nuförtiden är det arkeologiska museet som styrs av Société d'Archeologie inhyst där.
Vi rekommenderar även ett besök på Place Saint Epyre och i basilikan med samma namn. Byggnaden är från år 1436, men den förstördes 1863 och ersattes av en basilika i spetsbågestil. Man kan även bese franciskanerkyrkan, Place Stanislas och stadsporten la Craffe, byggd i slutet av 1300-talet.
Och naturligtvis måste vi rekommendera en drink eller en bit mat på någon av stadens många barer, pubar och restauranger, många med uteservering då man kan passa på att njuta av det vackra landskapet. Vandra runt på de medeltida gatorna och beundra stadens monument och museer.
