Tours är administrativ huvudort i departementet Indre-et-Loire i Centre-regionen i Frankrike.
Tours har klassificerats som ”Konstens och historiens stad” och den finns upptagen på UNESCO:s världsarvslista. Vi rekommenderar att du besöker Château de Tours, som ligger vid stranden av Loirefloden och som är från 1100-talet. Slottet har vackra trädgårdar varifrån man har en utmärkt utsikt över staden.
Andra sevärdheter vi kan rekommendera är St-Gatien-katedralen (1246) i gotisk stil med renässansdetaljer, och Place Plumereau, som ligger i den gamla stadskärnan och är från 1400-talet. Vid torget finns det vackra gamla trähus och här kan man få se uppträdanden av olika konstnärer i det fria, t.ex. jonglörer och musiker, vilket man inte bör missa.
