Ios är en ö som hör till Kykladerna (Grekland) i Egeiska havet. Det är en bergig ö med imponerande klippstup som är belägen mellan Naxos och Santorini.
Ön är full med vackra små sandvikar med kristallklart vatten, men det finns också större bukter med långsträckta badstränder där de flesta turister föredrar att vistas. Enligt den grekiska mytologin var det här Homeros föddes och dog.
Den administrativa huvudorten på ön är Chora, en mycket vacker stad med vita hus, trånga gränder och ett flertal kapell omgivna av de traditionella väderkvarnarna. Vi rekommenderar att du lär känna ruinerna av slottet Paleocastro (Homeros förmodade gravplats) och tornet Psaropirgos. Öns populäraste stränder är Agia Ceodoti, Psaci, Kálamos, Manganari och Milipotas.
