Peloponnesos är en grekisk halvö som är skild från fastlandet genom Korintiska näset med dess kanal som förbinder Korintiska viken med Egeiska havet.
De viktigaste städerna är hamnstäderna Patras och Kalamata. Korinth är ett måste, bl.a. för att lära känna Apollotemplet och det antika torget (Agora). På toppen av Akrokorint finns det en restaurang med en imponerande panoramautsikt.
Den gamla stadskärnan i Nafplion har venetianska reminiscenser och du kan besöka fästningen Palamedes och befästningarna på Akronafplion.
Besök befästningarna på Akropolis i Mykene och dess arkeologiska utgrävningar med Agamemnons grav, eller citadellet med Tiryns cyklopiska murar.
Uppe på berget Taygetos ligger Mystras, en befäst stad som finns upptagen på världsarvslistan. I närheten av Ligurio ligger den berömda Epidauros-teatern.
De bästa stränderna finns på den västra kusten och i söder kan du besöka fantastiska grottor som Diros-grottan. På Mani-halvön ligger Sparta, som är en idealisk plats för fotvandring. Du kan ta båt till ön Hydra kan du njuta av sol och bad på stränderna och besöka den förtjusande byn och du kan ägna dig åt en mängd olika vattensporter såsom vattenskidåkning, segling, vindsurfing och sportdykning.
