Samos är en grekisk ö som hör till ögruppen Sporaderna i Egeiska havet, mycket nära Mindre Asiens kust.
Dess naturomgivningar är otroligt vackra, dess huvudort är Samos och de viktigaste hamnarna är Vaci, Carlovasi och Pitagorio. Där finns många arkeologiskt intressanta platser och det var Pytagoras och Zeus maka Heras födelsetrakt.
Öns huvudort, Samos, och dess hamn, Vaci, är byggda som om de vore en amfiteater och här kan du besöka det arkeologiska museet, kyrkomuseet och klostren Soodoju Piguis y Ayia Zoni.
Besök Pytagoras hemby och se ringmuren, den gamla nekropolen och Eupalino-akvedukten. Helgedomen till gudinnan Heras ära ligger mycket nära och sedan kommer fiskebyn Cocari med sina kapell och de viktiga klostren i Carlovasi.
I Samos finns det många tavernor, och i Kokari hittar du dessutom de bästa restaurangerna, ett flertal disko-barer och diskotek där man kan delta i det livliga nattlivet.
På kusten kan du leta upp någon av de många undangömda badstränderna, pittoreska vikarna och fantastiska platserna där segling är ett nöje och vattensporter ett måste.

It was a wonderul setting in a very peaceful little fishing village. The creeper and palm growing round the balcony added
to the ambience. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
