The Sporades Islands are an archipelago of Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. They are opposite Turkey. The best beaches on Skopelos are in the southeast section of the island. It is a wonderful place for hiking and discovering old monasteries, fortresses, churches and the excellent Museum of Popular Art.

On Alonissos, concern for the environment is perfectly in harmony with the island's tourism infrastructure. Its Sporades Marine Park is home to many marine species, among which you will see dolphins, seals, herons and many others, some on the coast in some in the rich vegetation of the interior.
