Thessaloniki är en prefektur i Grekland och administrativ huvudort i Makedonien mellan Thessalonikibukten och Strimonikos-bukten. Det är en viktig hamn, Greklands näst viktigaste stad, och den är belägen vid norra Egeiska havet.

Från Akropoliskullen har man en storståtlig utsikt.
