Hotel Alexandra

Excellent location - easy walking distnce to Las Ramblas and Sagrada Familia. Nice reception area and toilet facilities.

When we arrived we had a long wait at reception and were told to come back later as they had no rooms available - even though we were told we could check in from 12pm. The hotel room smelt of smoke and we had to leave the window open to get rid of the smell. The hotel room was quite small and very basic. Not quite what we expected for a 4* hotel.

Some reception staff not very helpful. No room available if checking out late in the day to freshen up before travelling home unless you payed for another full day.

A good location for walking to 3 of the Gaudi buildings. Approx 10-15 minutes stroll from las Ramblas and the centre.

Staff were lovely. Decor of hotel was very nice. Lovely open reception\bar area. Great location. Cups of tea were very expensive (3 euros each).

Gaudi exhibition, shopping, eating.

The staff were very pleasant, check in was very easy and the staff were kind allowing us to leave our baggage for the day after checking out.The complimentary glass of cava was also a nice unexpected gesture.

The hotel was in a good position for sightseeing on foot and also to get the tourist bus

central position, but far enough out to allow you to get a good nights sleep
