Situation near the park. Underground and buses nearby. Chique appearance inside and outside.

The double bed awful: old and cracking.

The hotel is on a nice spot in London. The room is small but not too small. The room is clean.

Only one towel per person is provided.

Room was bigger than expected

Would of prefered a buffet style breakfast as both my partner and i both asked for things to be left off (tomato, fried bread etc) and the meal still came with those items. which is a waste.

I was really surprised by quality of the English Breakfast. It is really tasty and sufficient, I concider it one of the best in London.

Nothing really. May be, beds and matresses need some renovation.

Location is fantastic, you can do whatever you want.

The staff was helpful and friendly.

The elevator didn't work which caused quite some inconvenience. The breakfast was inedible, I could not find a trace of the food's origin i.e. the croissant was nothing like a croissant, the tea did not taste like tea and the orange juice had no resemblance of orange and the butter and jam (the only option on what to have on the bread) seemed artificial. The room was a smoking room which I had not been informed of upon my booking, so it was smelly and had bad air- which in turn made all my clothes smell. The room was also very outdated as the rest of the hotel, and I am just very glad there wasn't a fire during our stay as it almost required a compass to find one's way in all the corridors of the hotel.

Spacious, tall rooms in gracious, centrally located victorian property. Excellent value. Would certainly make a return visit.

Toilet was bit smelly...but manager immediately offered us a choice of alternative rooms. Good service.

Hardly any other place is so central and even when they are; they charge you 3 or 4 times as much. If you are not a snob and can overlook 70s style bathrooms, it is a fantastic place to stay in. staff were friendly and respectful (perhaps as they were all foreigners!). Highly recommended.

The building is slightly tired.

Right in the middle of Bayswater Road; walking distance away from Oxford Street, all the embassies in Kensington, Knightsbridge shops, high performance car dealers on park line; and if you are a runner or enjoy long walks, Hyde park. Trendy Soho bars 35 minutes walk away.

Great location, very good price. Public rooms spacious, welcoming, comfortable. Breakfast very good.

Plumbing needs to be modernised. In a twin room, one of the beds was very squeaky. Front desk friendly and capable, but undermanned.

Very convenient for central London and all it has to offer. Directly opposite Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Great location for runners.
