Vi rekommenderar först och främst ett besök på det municipala museet ”De Lakenhal”, som berättar om historia och konst från medeltiden fram till våra dagar. Här kan man också beundra tavlor av Rembrandt och Jan Steen och av många andra stora konstnärer. Men det är också intressant att lära känna det etnologiska museet, Leidens botaniska trädgård, antikvitetsmuseet och Naturalis, ett naturvetenskapligt museum som visar en mängd olika växter och djur. Förutom det vibrerande universitetslivet erbjuder staden också många aktiviteter till nöje och förströelse för alla smaker.
