I den italienska regionen Emilia-Romagna ligger staden Forli.
Det är en plats som har ett rikt kulturarv och dess monument och museer berättar om historien från tider som går tillbaka till det klassiska Rom. I den gamla stadskärnan hittar man historiska platser som klosterkyrkan Abazzia di San Mercuriale, byggd 1181, med en imponerande klockstapel som under en lång tid ansågs vara ett av landets under.
Forli kom också att vara en plats som var enormt påverkat av Mussolini och man byggde om den gamla stadskärnan och förvandlade den helt genom att ge arkitekturen en fascistisk stil. Två av byggnadsverken i denna karakteristiska stil är Piazzale de la Vittoria och Viale della Liberta. Piazzale de la Vittoria är ett monument till dem som fallit i kriget och det består av en vacker skulpturkomposition i brons. Stortorget eller Piazza Saffi är tillägnat Aurelio Saffi, en person som betytt mycket för staden.
