Cadiz is an Andalusian province, located in the south of Spain. Two of the province's most important cities are the capital, which is also called Cadiz, and Jerez de la Frontera.
Cadiz is a very interesting destination for tourists, since its history goes back 3100 years and many of its churches, gardens and squares tell of past times. One of its many places of interest is the Puerta de la Tierra, a magnificent monument with a marble facade and Baroque statues of the saints San Servando and San German.
Cadiz's beaches are also a very attractive prospect. Jerez de la Frontera is located in the west of Andalusia, on the banks of the River Guadalete. It is famous for its festivities, which give the place a special atmosphere. These include the Flamenco Festival, Easter Week, the Autumn Fiestas and the Horse Fair.
