Staden Jaén är administrativ huvudort i provinsen Jaén, som ligger i södra Spanien och den nordöstra delen av den autonoma regionen Andalusien.
Staden har flera byggnader av stort arkitektoniskt och historiskt värde som vi rekommenderar att du besöker. Det gamla sjukhuset Antiguo Hospital de San Juan de Dios, som har en fasad i gotisk stil, Arco de San Lorenzo (en båge som är nationalmonument), musikskolan Conservatorio Oficial de Música (1600-talet), Palacio Provincial (ett 1800-talspalats) och den legendariska bågen Arco del Consuelo.
En av de mest besökta platserna i Jaén är palatset Palacio de Don Fernando de Torres y Portugal, som är från 1500-talet och som för närvarande hyser folklivsmuseet Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares och konstmuseet Museo de Arte Naíf. Under palatset ligger dessutom en gammal arabisk badinrättning som är ett perfekt exempel på de spansk-arabiska baden från 1000-talet.
Likaså är Jaén den spanska provins som har flest skyddade naturområden: naturparker, naturreservat, naturmonument och ett otal vackra landskap att minnas.
