Ön Lanzarote är en av Kanarieöarna (som är en del av Spanien) i Atlanten och administrativt hör den till provinsen Las Palmas.
Dess vulkaniska landskap (som nästan ser ut som ett månlandskap) står i skarp kontrast till det blå havets ljus vid los Hervideros, ett område på ön där man hittar flera olika undervattensgrottor som uppstått när havet eroderat den stelnade lavan, ett fantastiskt vackert naturlandskap.
En av de bästa platserna man kan besöka, och som vi rekommenderar, är nationalparken Parque Nacional de Timanfaya, en stor park med flera olika vulkaner där man dessutom kan ägna sig åt geologiska studier och njuta av ett annorlunda landskap. För att området ska bevara sin stora skönhet och förbli orört förklarades ön år 1993 vara biosfärreservat av UNESCO.
Området är dessutom fullt av restauranger, barer och kaféer som erbjuder god mat och dryck för att garantera att de som besöker Lanzarote ska få en bekväm vistelse.
