Ön Teneriffa är den största av Kanarieöarna, en plats med otämjd natur som är idealisk för att njuta. Den tillhör Spanien men ligger i Atlanten utanför den afrikanska kusten. Den administrativa huvudorten är Santa Cruz de Tenerife, som ligger på öns östra spets.
Den södra delen av ön är den som ungdomar föredrar. Regionen har ett angenämt klimat och en sommar som tycks vara hela året. Puerto de La Cruz är den stad på Teneriffa som lockar flest familjer. Den norra delen har större grönområden och den spanska kulturen kan upplevas i all sin glans. Mot öns mitt ligger den imponerande vulkanen Teide, landets högsta berg. Det arrangeras många turer för att lära känna den och besöka kratern. Att bege sig ut på de olika rutterna är också ett skådespel där man kan njuta av landskapet och bergen. Det finns flera fritidsparker som Loro Parque Zoo, en djurskyddsstiftelse som upptar ett stort område. Parque de la Jungla med sitt stora fågelhus är en annan intressant park.
